Advanced Steward Training

Some grievance or campaign outcomes are exactly what the member hopes to hear, while others might be the just the opposite. This course explores how to frame member discussions to prioritize the truth, mobilize members to action, and discuss the issue with relevance and clarity to build power. 

A good investigation is critical to ensure the grievance is valid, well-supported, and effectively handled, increasing the likelihood of a successful outcome for our members.

This training is designed to equip stewards with the skills necessary for effective grievance writing. Participants will learn the importance of informal discussions, the critical timelines for filing grievances, and the step-by-step process for elevating grievances through various stages. The course emphasizes the need for proper documentation and collaboration with Union Resource Center representatives.
